Some of my best years in landscaping have been with Solid Rock Landscaping LLC, great owners of an established landscaping company that has brought my vision back to life. Hard work and drive everyday to bring the best out of every individual involved within their vision of becoming the go to landscape company in Des Moines. Hats off to Chris and Jon for keeping me so long, as I tend to venture on after 3 to 5 years within a company. I had been supplied with the greatest blessing these last 6 years installing/managing the most mind blowing projects. If you are serious about landscaping and becoming a landscaper, (because it takes more than 3-5 years before you can even be considered a landscaper in my book) I can say that this is the company that will actually have your back and be there for you. Job Descriptions of Open Positions for 2023
Skilled Worker Position-
We are looking for a highly self-motivated employee that has a license, can show up each day, on time, and has a ‘team player’ attitude. Someone who wants to be treated with respect and be a part of our ‘family’. No experience required. This position is physically and mentally demanding and requires a special kind of person that refuses to quit and give up, and loves to learn. We have 2 or 3 man crews, with jobsites and roles changing often. We are happy to train you into a highly skilled landscaper that uses precise vision, skilled hands, and training to achieve the landscape masterpieces we create here at Solid Rock Landscaping. If you think you have what it takes, we tend to start between $15-$20 per hour with benefits depending on experience and interview.
Skilled Foreman Position-
We are looking for the best landscaper in Iowa! We strive very hard to ensure our Foreman have the tools and equipment necessary to achieve the highest landscape standards in the industry. We care deeply for ALL our employees and their families. Saturdays are optional. We do not work on Sunday, ever. We look to achieve the highest standards, so you can be confident that your projects will last forever! Our foreman get a fully itemized estimate and CAD site plans with 3D views for each project. The owner and site manger is at your disposal for helping manage jobsites and ensuring the foreman is very clearly aware of what the projects entail. We have 2 or 3 man crews, so jobsites are extremely efficient. Our foreman work as hard or harder than their skilled helpers. It takes serious mental toughness for a foreman to adapt to his helpers to motivate them based on their unique differences. Join our team and see the difference!
